Glossary of Terms

A

AI Status

The current processing state of a Node. It indicates whether it's been Learned, Learning, or Failed to Learn. Only Nodes with a "Learned" status can be used by the Assistant or Genies to generate answers.

Assistant

The internal AI Chat of myReach. It allows you to query your Knowledge Base, summarise files, draft content based on your data and more. It can be found in the left sidebar.

Attachment

A file, document or image added to a Note to provide additional context or information.

Audio Transcription

An AI Feature that converts voice notes, meeting recordings, or video files into searchable text Nodes.

Auto-Sync

A feature of Integrations that ensures any changes made in external apps (like Google Drive or SharePoint) are automatically reflected in your myReach Knowledge Base.

B

Board View

A visual display of nodes organised in columns (Kanban-style), ideal for project tracking and providing an overview of information.

Browser Extension

The "Web Clipper" for Chrome or Firefox that allows you to save websites and text snippets directly to myReach. Useful to save, organise and query online content easily.

C

Card View

A visual display of nodes organised in the form of cards, providing an image preview and short section of information.

Categories (myGenie)

A management tool within myGenie used to track and analyse key topics and questions. They help you understand your users, identify knowledge gaps in your information, monitor key issues of concern and create targeted marketing funnels. With Categories you can also trigger automated Follow-Up Actions and organise lead-generation data. Found in myGenie > AI > Categories.

Chat Design

The choice between "Conversational" (bubble-style) and "AI Assistant" (immersive) layouts for Genies.

Chunk Translation

A feature within the Source Card preview that allows you to translate the specific blue-highlighted text used by the AI.

Comment

Collaborative text added to a Node to provide feedback, context, additional information or internal notes.

Creative Mode

A setting within the Assistant that prioritises generative tasks, such as drafting emails, writing reports, or brainstorming ideas based on your data, over literal fact-finding.

D

Deep Search (Search Strategy)

An advanced retrieval strategy where the AI performs a comprehensive sweep across all selected Workspaces to find and synthesise information from multiple sources to answer complex queries.

E

Edge

The technical term for a Relationship; a line connecting two Nodes in the Visualiser.

Extracted URLs

Web links automatically identified and extracted from the content of a Node and listed in its Properties.

F

Full-Document Search (Search Strategy)

A targeted strategy that restricts the AI to look only within one specific document or a small group of selected Nodes. This is ideal for querying long manuals or legal contracts without external "noise".

Follow-Up Question (myGenie)

A customisable proactive trigger (like an email capture field or a "Book a Demo" CTA button) that appears after a Genie answers a question, designed to guide the user to the next step.

G

Genie

The actual AI Agent (chatbot) that is deployed. It is a standalone "Expert" grounded in a specific subset of your data, which can be shared via URL or embedded as a widget on a website.

H

Home

The landing dashboard in myReach. It provides an overview of the user's recent activity and gives quick access to the most important features. Found in the left sidebar.

I

In-Text Reference

Numbered citations (e.g., [1], [2]) found within an AI response. Clicking these takes you to the exact paragraph and page of the source document, highlighted in blue.

Integration

The connection to external platforms (Google Drive, SharePoint, etc), to import and sync data. Found in Imports & Integrations (left sidebar)

J

K

Knowledge Base

Your centralised repository ("Brain") containing every Node you have saved or synced. It's the core of myReach, used to store and organise knowledge for easy access, search and retrieval. Found in the left sidebar.

L

Learned / Learning Status

The AI's processing state of a Node. A Node must be "Learned" before the Assistant or Genie can answer questions about it, or use it to answer questions.

List View

A high-density display of Nodes organised in a traditional list format, providing a detailed overview of information.

M

Mention

A link created by typing "@" inside a Note to reference another Node. Also known as an in-text mention.

myKnowledge

An alternative name for the Knowledge Base.

myGenie

The dedicated section in the left sidebar used to build, customise and manage your Genies. It's the "factory" where you configure the AI prompts, design interfaces and monitor usage statistics.

N

Node

The fundamental unit of information in myReach. Whether it's a PDF, website, note, contact, etc. Every piece of information saved in myReach is considered a Node. Go to Home or Knowledge Base on the left sidebar and click "+Create" to add a new Node. Alternatively, import Nodes through an integration.

O

OCR (Optical Character Recognition)

An AI feature that "reads" text within images or scanned PDF documents, making them searchable and "learnable" by the Assistant.

P

Property

A piece of metadata associated with a Node. Properties can be default (size, creation date, description, etc) or custom (checkboxes, ratings, currency, contract value, etc). It provides additional details that are useful for queries and filtering.

Property Library

The global collection of all properties, managed in Settings.

Q

R

Recommendation

AI-suggested suggestions between Nodes based on similar content, locations, contacts or extracted URLs.

Three AI-generated prompts that appear after an answer to suggest relevant next questions in the conversation. You can click on it to ask the question instantly, without typing anything. Found in the Assistant and in the Genie (only in Assistant view).

Relationship

A bi-directional connection between two Nodes. Relationships allow you to build a non-linear "web" of knowledge rather than a traditional folder structure. Particularly visible in the 3D visualiser view, and useful when searching a specific Node (the AI can search that Node and all related Nodes to it).

S

Search Strategy

A setting within the Assistant that determines how the AI looks for information. You can toggle between different strategies depending on whether you need a quick answer from your brain or a deep dive into a specific file. The options are: Deep Search, Web Search and Full Document Search (if no option is selected, it maintains a default search).

An advanced search strategy that understands the meaning and intent behind a query, rather than just matching keywords. It provides more relevant and accurate results, allowing you to find "marketing reports" even if the file is named "Strategy_v1". This can be updated in the search bar of the Knowledge Base, by clicking the icon on the right of the search bar.

Situation Message

A customisable "Fallback" response for a Genie when it cannot find an answer in your data. Found in myGenie > AI > Situation Messages.

Similar Nodes

An AI-powered feature that identifies and recommends other items in your Knowledge Base that share thematic or contextual similarities to the one you are currently viewing.

Source Card

A reference card found at the bottom of an AI answer that shows the specific file or website used to generate that response. You can click on it to see the exact page and extract used to answer, highlighted in blue.

Summary

An AI-generated overview of a Node's content, found in its Properties.

T

Tag

A type of Node that can be saved in myReach. It can be used to group related information across different Workspaces, for categorisation and easy retrieval.

Trash Workspace

A designated Workspace for temporarily storing deleted Nodes before permanent removal. Items in the trash remain there until you permanently remove them.

U

Unassigned Workspace

The default landing spot for Nodes saved without a specific designated Workspace, or if the original Workspace is deleted. Found in the left sidebar, above all the other Workspaces.

V

Verified Property

A specific property that, when enabled, adds a blue checkmark to a Node. This tells the AI and the user that this is an official, "gold-standard" document.

Visualiser

The 3D interactive map of your Knowledge Base, showing all your Nodes and the Relationships between them.

W

Web Search (Search Strategy)

A feature that allows the Assistant to exit the boundaries of your private Knowledge Base and query the live internet. This is useful when needing to supplement your internal data with real-time external facts, news or market trends.

Widget

Also known as Genie. It's the AI Agent that can be embedded into a website (for instance for customer support), or shared via a link.

Workspace

A dedicated, private or shared environment used to group Nodes by project, department or theme. Found in the left sidebar.
