Chat Search

Chat Search allows you to have a direct conversation with a specific subset of your Knowledge Base. Instead of querying your entire "Brain", you can use filters and keyword searches to pinpoint exact items and then ask the Assistant to analyse only those results.

Essentially, you can chat directly about the Nodes you have searched using filters / advanced search or by text.

This is the ultimate tool for comparative analysis or finding specific details across multiple related files.

  1. Perform a Search: Use the search bar in the Knowledge Base to find a group of Nodes (e.g. search for "Invoices" and filter by "Status: Pending").

  2. Open the Chat: Click the message icon at the top right of the search results screen.

  3. Ask Away: The Assistant will now open with a "Focus" on your search results. You can ask questions like "What is the total amount for all these pending invoices?" or "Summarise the common risks mentioned in these three contracts".

Note: If you edit the search filters, the chat will update automatically to reflect your new search terms.

Because Chat Search uses the same engine as the AI Assistant, you have access to the full suite of advanced features:

Competitive Analysis

Search for "Competitor Websites", open the Chat Search and ask: "Based on these three sites, what are the common pricing models used?"

Audit & Review

Filter for all "Legal" files from "2023" and ask the Assistant: "Are there any mentions of liability clauses that exceed $50,000 in these documents?"

Pro Tip

Chat Search is perfect for when you know roughly where an answer is but don't want the AI to be distracted by unrelated documents in other Workspaces.
