Card View¶
The Card View is the most visual way to browse your Knowledge Base. It represents each Node as an interactive tile, featuring a thumbnail preview that makes it easy to recognise websites, documents and images at a glance.
This view is ideal for creative projects, research or any scenario where the visual "gist" of a file is more helpful than a text list.

Anatomy of a Card¶
Each card provides a snapshot of the Node’s most important details:
-
Visual Preview: A thumbnail of the website, the first page of a PDF or the content of a Note.
-
Node Type Icon: A small indicator of the type of Node (website, File, Note or Tag).
-
Key Metadata: The title, a very short preview of the description, the type of file (IMG, TXT, PDF, etc) and size.
-
Selection Tool: Hovering over a card reveals a checkbox in the top-right corner for bulk actions, as well as additional features.
Power Actions¶
As mentioned above, hovering over a card reveals additional actions. These include:
-
Add Search Filters: Instantly adds this item as a filter. The view will update to show only Nodes that are directly related to this card.
-
Exclude from Search: Tells the system to hide everything related to this specific item.
-
Bulk Selection: Select "Select" to pick multiple cards. Once selected, you can perform bulk actions like moving them to a different Workspace, adding a shared Property or trashing them.
-
Quick Preview: For file nodes, use "Preview" to see the content without navigating away from your search results. For Website nodes, it opens up the website in a new tab.
Best Use Cases¶
-
Asset Management: Browsing through a library of images, logos or design inspiration.
-
Website Curation: Reviewing your latest "clipped" articles where the website's branding or main image helps you identify the content.
-
Visual Research: Exploring or scrolling through a Workspace through visual aid.
Pro Tip¶
If you are working on a tablet or mobile device, you can trigger the "Select" mode by long-pressing any card. This allows you to quickly group and organise your latest imports while on the go.
