Table View¶
The Table View presents your Nodes in a structured, spreadsheet-like format. It's the most powerful view for comparing information, managing large datasets and performing systematic audits of your Properties.
By displaying metadata in columns, the Table View allows you to see patterns and data points across hundreds of files at a single glance.
Customising Your Table¶
The true strength of the Table View lies in its customisation. You decide exactly which pieces of information are visible.
Column Management¶
-
Selection: Click the "+" sign at the end of the column header row to open the column picker. Here, you can toggle on any property in your Property Library, such as "Rating", "Total Cost", "Expiry Date" or "Client Name".
-
Reorder: Drag and drop column headers to rearrange your Workspace.
-
Resize: Hover over the edges of a header to expand or shrink the column width.
Table Layouts¶
Layouts allow you to save your column configurations so you don't have to rebuild your view every time.
-
Save & Reuse: Once you have perfectly configured the columns you wish to display in the Table for a specific task (e.g. "Invoice Audit" or "Contact List"), save it as a Layout. This makes it easy to retrieve and use the same view without having to select your preferred columns each time.
-
Cross-Workspace Availability: Your saved layouts are available across Workspaces. You can apply your "Financial Layout" to your "Work" Workspace and then instantly use it in your "Project B" Workspace.
-
Switching: Toggle between different layouts instantly from the Table View toolbar to change your perspective on the data.
Layouts enhance the flexibility of Table View by providing quick access to your preferred ways of viewing node data, regardless of workspace.
Functional Features¶
Table View supports advanced interaction through right-click menus and row actions:
-
In-Line Actions: Perform tasks like Relearning Nodes directly from the table to ensure the AI has the latest version of your data.
-
Sorting Nodes: You can sort nodes alphabetically by clicking on the node column header, by creation date, or by the last modified date by clicking on the respective column headers. This helps you quickly organize and find the information you need.
-
Right-Click Power: Right-click any row to:
-
Add Search Filters: Narrow your current view to show only Nodes related to that specific item.
-
Exclude from Search: Filter out this item so it doesn't appear in the search, and neither will its relationships.
-
Select: Enable bulk actions like sending nodes to trash, connecting to another node, assigning to a different workspace, or adding properties.
-
Open Website (Website nodes only): Opens a website in a new tab.
-
Preview (File nodes only): Provide a preview of a file.
-
Send to Trash: Move a node to the trash.
-
Technical Note¶
The Table View is a high-density feature optimised for larger screens. It is currently available exclusively on Desktop.
Pro Tip¶
Use the Table View to identify missing information. By adding a column for a custom property like "Status", you can quickly spot which Nodes haven't been assigned a value yet and fill them in.
