How it Works: The Genie Experience

Once your Genie is configured and your Knowledge Base is connected, the focus shifts to the end-user experience. Whether your Genie is used by external customers or internal team members, its primary goal is to provide accurate, traceable and interactive information.

The "How it Works" section explains some of the core pillars that define a user’s interaction with your Genie. Understanding these features will help you optimise your setup to ensure the best possible engagement and trust.

  • Sources: Learn how the Genie proves its accuracy by providing clear citations at the end of every response. This section covers the "Source Cards" that link directly to your original documents.
  • In-Text References: Discover the granular side of transparency. In-text references are clickable numbered icons that take the user to the source, with the exact paragraph and page used to generate a specific fact.

  • Recommended Questions: See how the Genie proactively guides users. Based on the conversation context, the AI suggests 3 potential follow-up questions to help users discover deeper layers of information.

  • Chat Design: Understand the visual formats available. Depending on your goals, you can choose between a friendly Conversational bubble layout or a professional, AI Assistant experience.
