Sources¶
Trust and accuracy are the most important factors in any automated interaction (chatbot), whether you're guiding a customer or supporting your own team.
Unlike generic AI tools that often provide unverified answers, myGenie operates on a "Verified Retrieval" model. Every response the Genie provides is grounded strictly in your companyβs provided Knowledge Base. In addition, every answer provides clear citations to show exactly which items were used to formulate the response. Whether the answer is based on one or multiple sources, the Assistant provides all the source cards beneath the answer. This eliminates "hallucinations" and ensures that every insight is verifiable and accurate.
For the end-user β be it a client on your website or a colleague in another department β this means every answer comes with proof. By providing clear citations, the Genie acts as a transparent, digital expert that represents the "official" word of the company.

The User Experience: Transparency in Action¶
π Automatic Citations¶
Every time a user receives an answer, the Genie automatically attaches Source Cards at the bottom of the message.
- The Benefit: Users can see exactly where the information originated (e.g., "Shipping Policy", "Project Specifications", "Q3 Internal Guidelines", "Product Manual V2"). This eliminates guesswork and provides immediate authority to the AI's response, reducing the need for the user to ever ask "Are you sure?".
π Interactive Document Preview¶
When a user clicks on a source citation, a preview of the document or webpage opens directly within the chat interface.
-
Precision Highlighting: The Genie doesn't just open a file; it highlights the specific paragraph or sentence used to answer the query in blue.
-
The Benefit: This provides a "fast-track" to the truth. Users don't have to scroll through long PDFs or manuals; they're guided immediately to the relevant section.
β The "Verified" Trust Mark¶
If you've marked specific sources (documents, websites, etc.) in your Knowledge Base with the "Verified" property, a blue tick will appear on the source card.
The Benefit: This acts as a visual seal of approval. It essentially tells the user, "this answer is based on an official, company-approved document", significantly increasing their confidence in the response.
Breaking Language Barriers: Source Translation¶
One of the most powerful features for global companies is the ability for users to verify sources in their own language. While the chat naturally adapts to the user's language (responding to queries in the same language they were asked), the ability to translate the content of the source takes this a step further. It allows users to instantly translate the original information behind an answer, ensuring that critical data is understood perfectly even if the source document exists in a different language.
-
Contextual Translation: If a Genie is used by a global team, the user might ask a question in French. Even if the underlying source document is in English, they can click the Translation Button next to the highlighted blue chunk to read the content of the original document in French.
-
The Benefit: The user can instantly translate the original source text into their preferred language, ensuring that technical or legal details are understood perfectly across the entire organisation.
Reliability: Accuracy vs. Hallucination¶
For any business, the biggest risk of AI is "hallucination" (the AI making up facts). myReach's Genies are designed with strict grounding logic to protect your brand and internal operations. myReach's retrieval system checks every response against your uploaded data, reducing the risk of inaccurate information from as high as 27% (in other tools), to nearly 0% (in myReach):
-
Factual Rigour: The Genie is instructed to prioritise your specific data above all else. If the answer isn't in your Sources, the Genie is trained to admit it doesn't know rather than invent a response.
-
Cited Reliability: By forcing every answer to be backed by a source, we ensure that your Genie remains a reliable tool that employees can trust for critical internal information.
